This book is a must for those with no legal background, but don’t want to be intimidated by legal “jargon.” I found it an easy reference guide to common and not so common legal words used every day. I work in a courtroom, and found the book helpful in understanding the judicial process.
Legal Terms Defined in Everyday Language
This book defines legal terms in easily understood English. In some cases, it gives an example of a situation to which the legal term might apply in order to help illustrate the meaning. It would be a very useful addition to anyone’s reference library.
Good enough for me
Barron’s “Dictionary of Legal Terms” is a solid text. When I asked a law friend of mine which law dictionary I should purchase he told me that “Black’s” was the best law dictionary out there. However, it is rather expensive at eighty or so dollars. Even the pocket version of the text is at least twenty dollars. So I sprang for this law dictionary at about eight dollars.
I was quite impressed and quite educated by the Barron’s work. It was informative and complete, yet simple enough for a non-law student to understand. At my local bookstore I compared the Barron’s dictionary with some others and found this one more to my liking because it provides examples for certain definitions; something the other texts did not.
The only reason that I did not give this 5 stars is that it is not as complete as some of the other books that I looked at. This version has “more than 2500 legal terms” and the other books were all about 3000. However, I have not yet come across a word or jargon that I was unable to find in this book so I am not sure what the other 500+ words or phrases are.
Solid book. Highly recommended.

A fine colection but…
No question about it, all the songs on here are great. However, you’re better off searching for the expanded edition of this soundtrack, which has 4 extra tracks. It’s out of print, but can be found in used CD stores. This soundtrack is often used to represent the baby boomer generation, but believe me, it barely dents the surface.
Maybe the Stones wouldn’t cough up the rights.
Could be my memory’s faulty. Could be the Stones wouldn’t give the rights to the label. But don’t I remember the movie starting out rolling a coffin down the aisle to the wistful cynicism of Jagger’s scratchy tenor complaint, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”. To prove the literal truth of the lyrics, the song isn’t in either soundtrack.
What else are we missing?!
Great music; greedy record company.
There’s no question, the music is wonderful, but for goodness sake, why is Polygram being so cheap? Both this and the supplemental compilation could easily fit on one disc.

Is OK but for a handyman, that need fix a drill bid in a hurry

I won’t let them go
Ahh this makes me sad. I first bought a pair of these at best buy years ago, and instantly fell in love. The problem now is nobody sells these in their stores anymore, no big box stores, or even the sony stores sell them, so this was the last place I could find them, so I bought several pairs.
The main reason I like these is comfort. I am someone who hates earbud headphones, and dislike anything touching the top of my head, so these were perfect. Since these are not studio headphones, you can’t expect studio quality sound, however they produce amazing sound for what they are. High sounds aren’t too tin sounding, there is plenty of bass. I listen to many different types of music, and they all sound great on these headphones.
However, I am on my 4th pair of these, while the form factor of the actual headphones are great, the cord seems to get a beating. Now I do wear my headphones everywhere I go, and I am rough on them, but I would expect them to last a bit longer.

These are very good headphones for the money. They are comfortable for relatively long-duration wear in contrast to earbuds, which can become uncomfortable more quickly. These come with extra foam ear covers, which is nice since they can become worn and tear after long use. The jack will fit an iPod.
Very good sound but…
I bought these headphones for my ipod to use while working out. They are very comfortable and the sound quality is very good for phones of this price. After six months the left ear phone stopped working for no apparent reason at all. If not for the short life span I would buy these again. Jim in Maine

A solid set for a good price
I don’t know a lot about drums, but we purchased this set for my 9 year old to start with. After seeing sets being sold in the music studios and stores for $100 less, I decided to give Ludwig a chance even though it was a little more expensive. I think the extra money was well worth it. These drums are well built, look great and are easy to setup. Ludwig has videos on their website which show you how to put them together and we had the whole set together in 30 minutes. I was a little worried, as the music teacher said they would need to be tuned, but that turned out to be an easy process and unless you are a professional drummer, I doubt you will notice even if you don’t tune them. The set comes with everything you need including cymbals, a seat and sticks. I noticed a lot of other sets leave out the cymbals, so beware of that.

Simply gorgeous!
This set is simply amazing. I love to just look at the pieces! Looks far better than traditional sterling silver pieces without the maintenance. It’s polished to a smooth luster which retains with every wash and continues to look like I just took it out of the box. It comes with a grey storage cloth pouch sectioned for each piece and a metal name plate attached to it so you can engrave the baby’s details. This set makes an excellent gift.
